Richie Romero

Co Founder and Director of Strategic Partnerships

Richie Romero is one of the owners. A native New Yorker, he has spent over three decades inside the city’s nightlife and hospitality world, starting as a teenager working the door and floor at legendary venues including Limelight, Tunnel, and Palladium under industry pioneers Peter Gatien and Steve Lewis.

Richie has helped build and run some of New York’s most influential venues. As a partner at Butter Group, he was part of the force behind 1 OAK and Up&Down, and more recently helped launch Nebula, a major Times Square megaclub. He is also one of the founders of Sushi by Bou, which has expanded into multiple cities.

His philosophy is simple: a room only works if the people running it are trained, dependable, and treated like professionals. His belief that great staffing is the foundation of a great atmosphere is a big part of why On The Way exists.
